I'm Married to a Rock Star

Well, almost.  Lauren officially started singing in the band at our church this morning!  After a grueling audition (our friend who sings and plays bass in the band heard her singing sitting next to her) and a heated practice (it really was hot in the building under all those lights), she's in the band!

This is a big deal for Lauren and I'm really excited to see her find joy and really express herself artistically through music.  To give you an idea of the magnitude of this event, I've heard Lauren sing approximately...... 0 times ...... ever.  Don't get me wrong, she loves to sing, but she has this uncanny ability to sing at whatever volume makes her voice indistinguishable next to the volume of the music.

I wrote in my very first post about hope and named one of my hopes for her was that she would really find herself, find her place and her voice.  I believe she is at the beginning of a beautiful road, one that will enliven her heart.  I hope that I can continue unnaming, so that when the right moments come along, I can truly name.  So, using my favorite name for my wife:

Beautiful, sing your guts out.

I've included photos below to verify my claim for the skeptics and for the enjoyment of all.

Thank you for your words of encouragement and how you love me and support me in every way. I am so blessed to have you for my husband. I love you!

lauren you are awesome! We need to catch up and by the way I am going to come to church with you and I want to hear you sing. All my love

your sis,
tyler
